Afternoon All,

I replaced the perished fuel return lines and rubber stop end on injector 6 as I had a bad a fuel leak. However the filter housing pump was seized so I tried to bleed system but there are various threads on bleeding the system.

Which method is best when replacing fuel return lines please?

Thanks

The spill return does not need bleeding.

ok after I replaced the pipes the car run rubbish cutting out etc, it was fine before that, it seemed to sort itself out.

What is best method for bleeding system regardless?

Thanks,

with the engine running loosen off each injector pipe in turn and see if you get a squirt of diesel from each line

The system only needs bleeding up to and including the injectors. The spill side does not need bleeding.

@tomcat59alan Theyve gone again? Do you zip tie or shrink wrap them, itl
Help them last.

OP you likely have air in system from somewhere else, duff plugs or something stopping it starting. Spills being changed wouldn’t need bleeding - I’ve had all injectors out and cut clear pipe off and didn’t need bleed.
For fun anyway - best way is jump the fuel relay as in Wammers’ tech section thread. If you listen to him it will work, he doesn’t mess about.

Check your clear pipe from fuel filter to FIP, see if there are any bubbles in it ;)
