doesnt actually show it 'working' though!!

Looks like it is for OBDII compliant vehicles after 2004. May do P38 petrol engines as do all OBDII readers but not a lot else. Possibly won't get anywhere near a P38 diesel.

I have one. Been using it for the last 2 weeks. Found it useful and it does more than the basic scanners. Still finding out what it does. It will read Land Rover specific codes and ABS SRS modules, etc. The live data is helpful on the P38.

Diesel 38s are on the list, but don't have one to try it on!

Used it for the three amigos on TD5

Not too sure! about that, but it does access the info and SRS module info and it does have a read code & reset code in that section, so I think it may do.

Can I generate one to find out, or is that too dodgy if I get stuck with it?

Has anybody got one of these they are £100.

Ok I will put it in the right thread this time

Well, I have took the plunge and got one and I must admit it is absolutely brilliant for £90 I think it is as good as the allcomms  if not better :eek: it does live data on every subject, the only thing that let's it down is you can't calibrate the air suspension but for £90 who gives a foook that's what I have the allcomms for very impressed ....

From around 2001 for petrol engines and 2004 for diesel engines all cars made in Europe have to be OBDII compliant. No system on a P38 other than the petrol engine is OBDII compliant. So it will only do the engines on petrol models, but none of the systems on the P38 diesels.

Sorry for the hijack, but wammers' post may have answered my question. I tried one today and could not get ANY live data for my 2001 D2 TD5 - no air flow, coolant temp etc. etc and this particular i930 had the latest LR updates in it via iCarsoft's site.

I also have a TD5 D2 and it does show live data, can't remember what as only used it once on it.
