Wanting to run something by you all.
I'm thinking about finally buying a diagnostic tool.
I can't afford to stretch to a Nanocom at the moment as we're having work done on the house before we put it up for sale.
I had seen a couple of you give good feedback about the Foxwell NT510, which is one of the two options I'm seriously considering.
The other, also a Foxwell, is the NT604. The NT604 works out around £36 cheaper (useful saving at the moment) and also has the added benefit I can use it on the Mrs' Ford Kuga.

Has anyone used or have experience of the NT604? Will it do everything the NT510 will do? My main reason for wanting this is for the three amigos, as I have this for the second time, so thinking it'll be a useful investment.

Thanks all

I have no eperience with NT604 but based on it's description is way below the NT510 and it seems it works only on OBD2 compliant vehicles which the D2 Td5 is not also it covers only engine, ABS, SRS and transmission no BCU nor any programming capacity

I did wonder, I've always skipped past anything thats OBD2 on the basis I didn't believe it was compatible, but heard someone (elsewhere) saying they were getting one for their D2. I'll write that one off then, and just stick to the NT510. Was it you that I saw sing the praises of the NT510? I know I've seen a couple of members here saying good things about them.

I didnt sing praisies at all, I just recommended the NT510/520/530 as i played with one myself and it's the cheapest i know but dont expect it to be at the same level with nanocom cos it's not. It has it's own glitches like any other D2 specific tool but has a decent coverage on systems for that money and it has to be at least 510 Elite

Ultimately, if I could afford it, I'd get the Nanocom evo. One of the guys I know has one and swears by it, but they're a little out of my price range right now. that said, if I do get a Foxwell, when I can afford to, I'll upgrade to the Nanocom and sell the Foxwell.
I have found a NT520 pro for a good price, and very tempted. So long it can check and sometimes clear codes, thats the main thing. I like the feature on Nanocom that codes new keys, does the NT520 do that?

I didnt try but it has it in the coverage list for D2 but even if it doesn i'm sure it can do it only like hawkeye based on the long bar code

scroll down to the ''special functions" list

Ah, brilliant, thanks for that. Looking at the list, it does seem it does everything I'd need it to do, and more. I'll have to awaiting the telling off from the mrs when she finds I'm buying more toys that are Landy related haha

It does almost everything Hawkeye Total can and it can record live data on SD card which Hawkeye at double that price can't and that's a very usefull feature
