Hi all,

I would like to purchase a diagnostic tool to use on my RR L322 V8 (gas conversion). I don't have loads of money to throw at it, but want value for money! Recommended a 'Gap iid tool' by another member ( thank you) any other suggestions. I've looked on past threads but the newest one was 2017 and I'm sure things might have changed since! Thanks in advance.

How did you go? I also have a 2005 L322 SE LPG 4.4 V8 80k and would love to get a tool, I have a EAS ABS 'kicker' tool, but wanted to buy the right tool as it's not cheap!
Thanks to everyone posting tips, it's great for a non mechanic like me!

I have just got the foxwell nt530. I have only used it to read and clear suspension fault so far but does appear extremely good. At 130 quid, I can't fault it yet. No pun intended.

You can't keep a good pun down.... where did you but it please?

Thanks a million.

I got the foxwell nt530 but can't figure out how to calibrate the suspension.
Can any one else add how well the Foxwell tools compare?
I am looking at options.

I already have a Nanocom for my TD5 Disco 2, a icarsoft for older Jaguars. I tried this on the 322, but it seems very limited. It can’t even clear codes in all sections.
It seems every vehicle I own needs it’s own specific tool?

I assume the IID tool requires a PC laptop to connect too? Since it’s just a BT adaptor looking thing?

Gap IID BT will work with a computer, tablet or phone. It can also work with the dash display but thats not as easy as the other options. Device used needs to have blue tooth and be able to run the app.

That’s good to know, thanks.
I don’t have a pc laptop, so an iPhone app would be the only option for me?

is there a comparison with it to the Foxwell part a few people mention?

Hi, I still haven't purchased one as I can't find someone with a difinitive 'this does every thing!' manufacturers specs are confusing, cheaper units sound enticing bit I just don't know. A mechanic I took mine to uses a 'Launch X431' but they are quite expensive. The Gap id tool has been recommended a few times to me. Sorry I can't be of more help. Steve
