Hi lads,iam looking for some advice which diagnostic tool works with a freelander 1 2005 td4,have seen a few but want one that will definitely talk to the car,have tried elm 237 or something,got no joy,that was an obd11 I think.does the freelander 1 use an obd 1by any chance because of the age of the car,,thanks pat

Hi,

I have a tool from icarsoft LR v1.0, you will have all the readings for about 100 euros …

For code reading, you can use any basic tool, just need to turn the key

Delphi tool clone from eBay with a cheep laptop works well for me, and a few others on here use them as well, Nodge & Andyfreelandy use them too IIRC.
