Umm. How can I/we find location of people on the map?

Running android device's and each time I open the links from here it just gives me basic maps with no pin point markers of people.

Must be me doing something wrong?

Had similar trouble with my phone but found that if I used the 'internet' option to open the map link instead of 'maps' (which was the default setting) then all the markers are visable and openable.
