The lane in question is undrivable I have driven it years ago and was sketchy since it has got worse since the meet turbo man I walked it and its BAD shame but I cant see it been drivable for some time especially for the average land rover. There are some good lanes round Liskeard however I do feel as some are driven to much personally I will be leaving them. Have scouted and found a few more lanes Will try them soon.
looking at the pic of the 90 you where entering the lane from the top the first bit with the massive rut in my opinion is the worst have got some pics somewhere when we did it not for the faint hearted.

Not surprised to hear that, it was a tough one when I was there almost twenty years ago, and that was in bone dry weather. The torrential rain we have had the last few days will have made it even worse.
Best of luck with the less travelled lanes, keep us informed by pm if you find anything good, Muds is still looking into a route up that way, I think :)

****ing me off too, ground is very wet and soft now, bringing back memories of last winter :(

Forecast keeps sayin it will dry up, but it changes as quickly as the weather

I can confirm it is wet I've had to break out the wellies as puddles on the roads are so deep now :-( how is everyone anyway haven't been on here lately been. Doing "house stuff" :-(

Hi Mart ....slogging round in the mud here too :( not much point in doing any recce-ing whilst it's so wet ...although I'm sure the Bottallack lane will be sound.
Glad to hear you're finally doing some stuff at home ..... Usually it's just your relatives you draft in whilst you're out laning lol.:D

That happened only once .... Or maybe twice anyway I'm getting on now only the kitchen to replace and put some carpet in the hallway and that's the inside pretty much done :) then I've just got to sort my quagmire of a garden out when summer comes

It does have it advantages until it gets windy then I just sit and listen to stuff take off and wonder where it's going to land

Know what yu mean there, Mart. I don't like it when corrugated sheets start blowing around!

I sent you a pm about Saturday, I will ring tomoz if I dont hear from yu?

Hi all. would like to get to know some torbay area folks to go laning with as the local 4x4 club only seems interested in its pay to play stuff im not that interested in.

any links to known access allowed lanes would be good as frankly the access stuff confuses me

Easy enough once you get used to it, it might be a good idea to join GLASS, the green lane association. If you do this you can use more of the trailwise database.
Byways open to all traffic are marked on OS maps. Devon County Council should have a rights of way officer who will advise about any closures or restriction orders.

There are some lz members in that area, but I don't know how many of them go out laning. :)

whoop whoop the forecast on my phone for the next 10 days says only 1 of them is going to be wet so hopefully might be able to get some lanes done soon :)

Hmm , sounds good , got a slight hitch this end in that Betsy decided she didn't want to take me home from work today , so I limped her down to the garage and took the 3 mile walk home ...at least it wasn't raining .

Shame! :( Does seem to be drying up a bit, as well. Hopefully it wont be too serious, it shouldn't be, she is well looked after, even cosseted! :)

Do keep us posted. :)

Will do ...she died and then re-fired on the morning of the coast to coast and then went on to do the whole day seamlessly ...and has been ok since , up to about a week ago , when she did the same thing again ...yesterday i drove to work ...but initially she wouldn't fire at all to come home , then when she did she just died on me again ..got her started again and she ran ok , so i decided to hedge my bets and drove her down to the garage where i used to take her ( only changed cos the other guy is closer to home , now i'm only working p/t ) but this garage has been MOTing her etc since we had her 10 years ago ( maybe that's the prob with changing garages ) Anyway the garage in town has all the latest diagnostic gismo , so fingers crossed - and I may have to grovel a little bit too
