Thass a really good site Ratty, most informative!
Am i right in thinking that ARBs need a whole compressed air system installing in the car as well - or can you get something similar but electronic?
So is that it - a full locking diff for £450 for the ARB, 165 for the air and VAT - or is anything else needed? Presumably if you wanted to do both diffs, one pump would cope?
Just havin a look at this, it's quite a process fitting em

What do you reckon then?
Noticed they never completed parts 2 and 3, bit of a ****er!
and then that's only £365 + VAT all in - or is anything else needed? (paddocks prices, not checked anywhere else yet!)
There's quite a lot of info on the nettyweb about NOT fitting Detroits to SWB (90") vehicles as they make too much noise and due to the SWB they constantly lock and unlock noisily, with lots of spinny wheels etc! - any experience of this?
Just seen, ashcroft will supply and fit a detroit for 395 (345 for the diff and 50 to fit it) - which int too bad i reckon - how easy are the detroits to fit? Same principle as the ARB but without drilling holes in the diff i guess?
In Luton, Beds,...Ashcroft Transmissions
but there's another company on ebay who will fit the detroit wiithin the hour for £35 which makes me think your local indy down the road shouldn't be much more than that, especially if armed with that info! Need a couple of sets of bearings by the looks of things. Hmmm, just had me bonus, doris din't really need that holiday...hmmm
