How much you asking? Don't know if I need then I have a trutrac in the front doesn't lock.

That's hard luck Stu ...

In a way I'm glad (tough for you, mind) it's happened though 'cos the internals of that Detroit don't look like they're machined for quality, more for a price! Makes it easier for those of us on a minimal budget to decide which locker to get .. A Detroit was going to be my choice for first locker when we get round to affording them .. it ain't now!

Mind, I'd also like to see the internals of Ashcrofts, ARB's and Kam's that have broken too ... ;)

I dont think Ashcrofts have had a single failure with theres yet!

Will they suit a TD5 front axle? soon to be fitted with an ARB? ;)

Ill take um if they will. :)

no reason they shouldnt unless the td5 axle is longer or shorter as the diffs are the same, but as always dont trust my judgement wait till somebody with a modicum of sense tells you they will fit;)

Dont brlieve it. They have but they ate swapped out no questions which is really good me thinks just search other forums they have a few failures.

Kam Shafts td5 erm not 100% sure. I think the 300s and early td5s were the same I.e 24 diff end and 32 cv end pretty sure they are a direct replacement.

For ultimate strength you need the older Cvs as they are stronger but that's a whole job swapping swivels hubs stubs brakes etc. the shafts I have are hd direct replacements for lr items

 I'm working on getting the cash

I'm not made of money in the proses of buy Ashcroft lockers and compressor

Stu, if you get the cash together I could probably arrange to get the shafts from Jai up to North Wales so only about an hour from you if that helps you out.

I know Jai, he's sound, Let me know if you want me to pick the shafts up for you, I'm down Luton way every other week roughly.

I only really read devon4x4 and i havent heard anything bad on there about them. Like you said though if they swapped the offending items for free then no one will say anything i suppose.

On a slightly different note, i just had a quote from Ashcrofts for fitting my lockers. I was surprised actually, not too expensive considering the work involved. £275 for installing the diffs(my lockers are already in cases) and then £120 for fitting the compressor and lines etc.

Not bad at all i thought. :)

I've heard that they´re no worse that Eatons/Detroits. The thing I like is that they sort of act like an LSD when cornering etc but then go back to being lockers on the straight or when ever the surface dictates.
