Hello to you all. I am a landrover victim and have owned a series 2a lightweight, restored and sold. A 1971 series 3 restored and sold. And my current chariot is a 1995 disco Auto. This is where you lot come into your own. I have read every forum going and cannot fix my current electrical issue, get it, current. Well never mind, Before everyone shouts, earths I have checked them all!! with my handbrake on, no electrical issues. engine turning over 14.3 volts, every electrical item on, all good. When I release the handbreak, drop in power, speedo moves with indicators, blower slows, wipers slow down and a ticking from a relay in the passenger footwell. Also when i put foot on brake my radio goes off.. So ther you have it. Can anyone help me please. I am situated in Chaddeton nr Oldham.:)

I have renewed the earth from the battery to the chassis and from the gearbox to the chassis. Any suggestion as to where the next one should go.

Many thanks for your help in this matter. I will endeavour to attach another earth, probably from bell housing to bulkhead. I will let you know if it works.

Sounds like its knackered mate.

Scrap the vehicle and let me have the TDI engine to put in my series two.
I'll do you a swap for some beer tokens!!

Thankyou for the generous offer Mark, but I think i will try some new earth leads first!!!

Get youself a good, long pair of commercial jump leads. Clamp one end onto a GOOD earth point then go wandering with the other end. When your problems go away - earth that bit.

meerkats!!
