I might not be able to make it. Had an encounter with a van this morning.

Is it repairable?
The 8th is a fair way away, you could rebuild it by then!
It's a bad spot for accidents. Seen loads in the last couple of years as it's a really busy road, with everyone turning randomly into and out of Rolls-Royce. Someone went to turn at the last minute in front of this van, so he braked hard. I braked too, but the disco slid, clipped his corner.
I think it'll be a write off.
So on the hunt for another Disco or something else with a green oval! Have to see where i get to in the next week or so, gotta pull some bits off it today!

Either or, might stick with a Disco, as I really like the creature comforts.

I wasn't joking before, I think a D2 would be a better expedition vehicle. A defender is tiring on long journeys and realistically not much better off road.

I quite like 110's., despite them being a bit long for some things and not as comfy as a disco.

If it's a write off, and the damage is all or mostly cosmetic, it may be worth buying back from the insurance company. That should give you a good chunk to turn it into an expedition vehicle

I think I'm working at the mo, I've also got a Strata Florida itch I need to scratch so my next trip might have to be across the boarder
We could do that as the trip after maybe? I'm up for a road trip
