Hi - back again with yet another problem!
My 1998 Deisel P38 is running on reduced power.
I have a faultmate and I have interrogated the ems fault code memory. Get the following messages:
"THE FAULTS FOUND IN THE ELECTRONIC DIESEL CONTROL UNITS FAULT CODE MEMORY ARE-:
FUEL FLOW VALUE OUT OF RANGE, INVALID VALUE, MAJOR FAULT, FAULT LOGGED, INTERMITTENT
(RPM = 55, WATER TEMP = 100)
OCCURANCES = 12.
LOOP CONTROL BOOST PRESSURE INVALID VALUE, INVALID VALUE, MAJOR FAULT, FAULT LOGGED, INTERMITTENT
(RPM = 136, WATER TEMP = 89)
OCCURANCES = 4."
The engine warning light is not lighting - at all. As in it has a fault - will not even turn on when I use the faultmate to turn on and off the warning lamps. Might be totally irrelevant.
So could this indicate a fuel flow sensor fault, and a pressure sensor fault, or is it likely to be something more serious such as a failing injection pump and turbo?
