My son's R/H/D Discovery 2 is fitted with LED Halo headlights. He is taking it to France. He has bought headlight deflectors, but the instructions do not include how to fit them to LED headlights. Should he fit them to LED's or do the LED's have a flat beam with no spike? If he should fit them, how would he do so? I have contacted the ebay supplier & the RAC but neither have replied. Any advice please.

Of course the headlights are after market. Has anyone had this issue and if so what did you do?

If the lights are "E" marked, then they will have a way of adjusting the beams, or they won't have the kerb side hump at all.
If they aren't "E" marked, then they technically shouldn't be on the vehicle at all, as they contravene the road vehicle construction illumination regulations.

In the UK this is basically a slap on the hand and maybe an MOT fail.
In France it could be a lot worse, as fines are generallyhigher.

Ref the SAE , seems that some are marked on top of the headlights , can just see the french police going round the entire car if they find one thing wrong , lol, hopefully the OP lights are marked on the back if not on the front or as u say are illegal

I have stock glass headlights so I can’t help with deflector taping bit. But IMO those LED headlights are not a bad price but would be terrible on a D2. Leave ‘em for the Defenders and Jeeps I say. Lol

Deffo not reccommended for Defenders, unless you carry a man-bag and have a bun or pleated pony tail and regulary wear pink, even then eBay, halo LED's really are ebarrasing.
Next thing you'll be wanting is 21" wheels and low profile tyres ... :vb-wave:

I contacted Ring, who manufacture the deflectors that we have. They have emailed instructions for these headlights, so that is sorted.
One of the rings that holds the headlights in place is corroded. Got a pair online but they are slightly too big. Do the 7" round LED headlights that gstuart suggested come with all the necessary fittings for Discovery 2?
