My 2.5 NA in excellent condition was only 1600, then I converted to 200tdi for £400 so it can definately be done, I looked for months before I found the right one though

All about time/place after looking to spend 6-10k on one I eventually bought an 1985 landy 2.5 N/A for 1600 quid of gumtree. she's not pretty but only spent £150 to get sorted for MOT. if you don't mind spending a bit of time on it cant see why not, there's nothing special really that you can't do yourself or that you won't find help on asking around.:)

Take your time dude
I've had 3 sub 2500k 2.5n/a,200tdi and currently 300tdi conversion. My only main concern were the chassis and bulkhead I just made sure they weren't rotten. Everything else bolts in and out and parts to easy to find on forums or eBag.
A good chassis will save a lot of stress and worry!

Why is that a 'big mistake'?? condition is everything no matter if its had 2 owners or 20

I paid 1500 for my V8CSW 110, chassis had never been welded and still hasn't been welded due to structural issues, sold the V8 engine and box for far more than its 300tdi and box cost so quids in on the engine conversion

it was nothing special but was very clean, exceptionally straight and low miles

To be honest the only thing that would bother me would be chassis condition, everting else can be unbolted and swopped in a weekend... chassis is a bit more involved and expensive.... buy the best chassis you can and get it protected

Cheers Steve

It dont bother me having so many owners but does alot of people. I know every other car i sold it seemed to be on top of alot of people list, but then again i never sold a landy before but hopefully it wont effect it to much
