Can anyone help me? Recently the windscreen wipers on my 200tdi defender have been coming on on their own, when i go over bumps etc. I originally thought it was the switch, but a replacement didn't help. Then i took the advice of an auto electrician and replaced the relay- Which also didn't help. Then i took the advice of a Land Rover specialist and replaced the park switch, as the wipers weren't self parking once the motor was off- after fitting the park switch the wipers still don't self park, and still come on on their own. I've also checked the wiring at the switch end and the motor end, and checked the earth. this morning i used the washer jet to clean the windscreen and the wipers went mental and wouldn't turn off. Then the pump stopped altogether, and the wipers have calmed down. Could a faulty pump have caused the 'automatic wipers'?

Please help, they're driving me mad.
