Hi all

I am looking to get a electric winch for my 90, entry level, occasional use, self recovery.
Also a bumper to carry it, so, anyone seen or heard of any good package deals out there, price is king, new or s/h. :D

I was in the same boat as you, just wanted an entry level winch for occasional use, went for one of these:

12000lb Winch 12V Recovery Trailer 4x4 Wireless Remote Control GO NEXTDAY £3.99 | eBay

I know people say stay away from these cheap winches, but it's worked well enough the couple of times I've used it, plenty of power, just a bit slow. Sure, it's not a Warn but for occasional use it's a bargain IMO. I combined it with this bumper:

LAND ROVER DEFENDER WINCH BUMPER - NON AIRCON | eBay

It's very well made and solid, and it attaches to the chassis underneath as well as the standard mounting points, so no worries about recovering with it. Here's how they look on my Landy:

Thanks too you all, for your input, still undecided, like the look of drexels set up perhaps with a super winch or one from winch it yeti winches.

Its nice that peeps take the time to post pics,
still open to suggestions.

I have always belived if you buy a cheep one I will work until you need it most and it will let you down,

I would rather spend £300 on nice second hand warn or similar with good rope and solinoid that £300 on a cheep Chinese one, but that's me.

I considered one purely as its the same as my last name, I know a lad who has on on his tray back and its never missed a beat, all brass inside apparently,

I have a Ali hawz embossed with warrior, sat in the shed at the moment waiting to be fit on the rear.

nice, i got mine cheap as its the last of the champion ones and wanted to get rid of them due to the rebrand, dunno how mine preforms as its still in its box :(
