what width is a standard landy rim? Im running 255/85's on my 6.5" wide wolfs :) no problems.

G

LWB rims (for 750 tyres) are 5.5 inches wide.

heffs, 255's will phyiscally fit, but they aint as secure, and if you were to crash, im sure the insurance would love to use it as a wriggle-out-of-payment option, make sure its ok!

You got any pictures with 285s on? :D

Here you go woods767

Cooper discoverer st on 16" x 8" steel modular rims, no suspension lift the tyres give 2" extra ground clearance alone, just adjusted the steering stops, to stop them fouling on the radius arms.

Thanks Nienty,
Nice Landy. I am going to use the same rims or get 16 x 8 alloys with either the BFG 285/75R16s or the MAXXIS BIG HORN MT-762 285/75R16.

What about 305/75R16s? The dealer has them ready in stock. The dia is the same as the 285s, will the 305s be too broad for my 110?

The only problem with the width is extra weight and wear on your steering components, plus you will lose a hell of a lot of turning circle to stop them fouling your radius arms.

A 2" lift would be a very good idea too, too stop fouling your inner arches

You can get wider arch extensions to keep plod happy

Will this do then:-
Add 30mm spacers, (optional)
Add 285/75R16s on 16" x 8J silver mods
Add 2" OME lift with heavy duty springs on front and comfort ones at the back.
Bigger wheel arch's

Don't fit the spacers they place an unnecessary strain on wheel bearing and the Hub in general. 285's will fit fine without spacers.

Hi all. I have a 110 DCPU and i've been trying to get BFG MT 285/75R16 tyres but they seem to be out of stock everywhere until mid April!

If i go for a 2" lift does that mean i could fit taller tyres on my LR Boost alloys, which seem to be in stock ATM?

Pughy.
