I have a strange phenomenon with my TD5 at present. And I hope someone can help please. The car pulls incredibly well with lots of torque and smooth power - until about 3000rpms. Thereafter it makes more and more noise and vibration without any more power or "oomph". Like it runs out of breath. To me it feels like its not getting enough diesel but maybe some of you have experienced something similar and can give me some advice. It will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Serviced a month ago. Is it possible that fuel filter was somehow incorrectly fitted? My gut feel is that the car is under-fueling.

What's the RED ECU plug like for oil??

Could be crap in the tank blocking the pick up filter.
Does the pump sound louder than normal when it's struggling?

Think I'd have the fuel filter off and replace it first even if it wasn't that, you have one ready for next service and could at least rule that out.

You need to check fuel pressure at the regulator,(Should be 4 Bar constant while the pump is running)then look at live data of boost pressure and airflow etc.

Some feedback guys. The fault was loose nuts on turbo wastegate. This caused what the mechanics call 'kangarooing' - almost feels like a misfire at 3000 rpms and above. Actuator length adjusted, bolts tightened, everything back to PERFECT. Thanks for the input.
