This is what I was thinking but I'm not sure if I could use a series 1 as much as I do the fender .. I'm a member of the local 4x4 response group so it wouldn't be much good for that

Can see what ya thinking, but reckon you would still end up having to buy another Fender for practical use.

Thats about the usability difference .
Not too bad for a leisure drive on a nice summers day , purgatory when you have to drive to work on a freezing winter morning . And Ive had a few of each , and everything in between as well !

Thanks guys , even the chap selling it said I may regret the swap I've had a ride in a few series 3 never a series 1. Judging by all your remarks I may just save for a series 1 for the future... Here's a picture of it. The chap doesn't want a great deal of money for it, but I have just bought a house so all the savings are gone.

It's in Cornwall and he wants 4k for it needs a few bits to tidy it up but it's chassis and bulkhead are very good
