Saw this on landywatch on Facebook.

If the bonnet is being sold online, hopefully the owner will tell the police before it sells or is removed.

BASTARDS!!!
Makes me half glad i've only got a Disco 2 on the road at the moment...
I suppose as they left the headlights on at least it could be driven home...

Parts from the vehicle on Ebay?

So the thief will get caught then
If they take it to an auction and bid on it to win it back there is nothing the police can do about it as they have a receipt. If they dont win it they take the cash. Naturally some auction houses are in on it.

As mine's a facelift, it's ironic that the only bits i'd lose ARE the headlights :(

So you put it in an auction to "win" it so you have a receipt, if it's still positively identified you'll still get to lose it and you lose the auctions commission as well as possibly being caught out if the police check auction records. Especially is scrotes are stupid enough to use the same fake name/ID when entering the stuff in said auction
