Hi there, yes the chassis is 100% solid as its new and galvanised so will never rot. Everything seems to work fine, drives well, a light tiss from the trans as with any defender, nothing out of the ordinary. Sorry we dont do warranty on any of our cars especially not over 20 years old. Best cash price would be £3900, thanks TMC

looks/sounds nice, but thought a dealer offerign just £95 off the ebay price of 3995, for cash, was tight

eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace galv chassis is good, maybe a little tidying if your that way inclined but looks ok. If he is a dealer check out the crock of **** thread which will help if its a lemon.
