Does anyone know if it's possible to fit a Salisbury rear axle from a Defender to a SWB series 3. If so what's involved ?

You wouldn't be the first. Lots of changes, springs for example. Do a bit of research, you'll be surprised what ya find.

shortend prop ,removal of brackets and welding on of leaf spring seats and remembering to fit 3.54 diff in front,although either 4.7 or 3.54 diffs can be fitted in salisbury case,109 salisbury would still need spring seats removing or extra adding
