View attachment 123544 So I converted my 90 pick up to a van and after much deliberation painted the new roof the same colour as the Landy (Arles blue). After a few months I have decided I don't like it and want to change the colour of the roof. I'm torn between gloss black or painting it white. What's the general opinion on here?

I like the more traditional ivory white LRC354. That's what mine is going to be eventually.

Yeah I am tempted with white. But I like the look of the newer ones with black roofs and was thinking of gloss black wheel arches too.

This is mine before I started. I really don't like the black roof but that might be due to the crap silver paint job that looks like it was put on with a toilet brush.

I have been looking for one the same colour of mine with a black roof but cant find a pic anywhere.
I reckon the black goes well with the silver on yours.

I would go for white. Much cooler in hot weather. And black is much colder in winter. For me there is no contest.

I'm yellow all over, apart from the black wheel arches. I have a new (second hand) rear door which is LR Jarva Black. I consider painting it yellow to match the rest of the car, but liked the contrast. So, today I am due to fit a Jarva black Puma style bonnet and, once that's done, one of my next projects will be to paint the roof black as well.

Well I got bored today, did the wheel spats gloss black and started the roof. Looks OK imo, will put a pic up when finished.
Bought a decent paint and used a good quality brush and it seems to have turned out ok so far.

I should have looked at some more of these responses before I started today. Looks like I will be having either a sweaty ass or a freezing cold one !

Well she might be, but she is extremely well known to the National Constabules :D:D:D

My nice ESB (National electricity company) yellow defender is also extremely well known to the Irish constabulary. Fortunately, they have never stopped me. I'm assuming that they believe that anyone driving an ESB vehicle will be fully road legal :p:cool:
