Somebody was telling me over the weekend that Recaro made a limited run of seats specifically for the Defenders. Tried searching to see what they were like but couldn't find anything.

Is there any truth in this and if so, anybody got any pics?

Just curious as I have a set of Recaro high backs that I'm hoping to fit to mine and try get a second pair for the rear to make it a 2+2

Yes they fitted them in the 60th anniversary defender.

Ahh I see!

Thought there might have been in an earlier version too as the Recaro CS is alittle too sporty for what I have in mind.


I'm thinking more along these lines for the front

And maybe this type for the back

I'll have to figure out something for the front seat bases though!

Nice enough seats those, i have a set in the loft awaiting a retrim as the 80s fabric doesn't suit...anything.

But with a pair of decent mgf seats costing less than the materials to retrim just one recaro it seems a little too costly for a defender.

Your best taking the base from your original seats and working off of them. I was able to do it without drilling new holes.
