Hi there is there such thing as a pto that runs of the front of the engine. Not the transfer box or gearbox. I have a overdrive on her and want to run a hydraulic pump of a pto. some one has told me that u can get it to run of the bottom of the engine some where?

You can run a hydraulic PTO off of the power steering pump. A lot of people dun't like doing this, but I dun't know wot the reason is.

Bet some feker duz tho'. ;)

Coz it's really really slow (like doin this fookin typin wivout a keyboard coz its gone tits up!)

L I you can get a bottom pto take of for hyd pto that fits on bottom of transfer box, its a very tight fit with an o/d fitted but just poss. I dont know of any pto that goes on front of engine other than mech pto for capstan winch on series motors. So looks like you would have to engineer one yourself . Good luck :)

This might sound daft but it worked to run a 2 diagphragm pump on a crop sprayer fitted to a 90 I used a few years back so:

Why not use a 12 volt motor to run a pump?

It aint daft Boomer.

tipper body, spec lift or tail lift electro-hyraulic pumps are capable of running a hyraulic winch with no problems.
