Hey All

Before I get bollocked I have done a brief search but nothing obvious...

Just stripped and replaced the UJs on my '94 300tdi 90 due to bad vibes and the weird chirping. Going to refit both this afternoon and want to know what the recommended torque setting for the nuts are - presuming it's not just 'tight as you can'?

Ta in advance

Use new nylock nuts everytime:)

If you want to be fussy the torque setting is in the manual but just the usual tightness when fitting nuts and bolts

I've never used a torque wrench on them and have always been fine but I think it's 47nm or 35ft/lb.

As Landowner said, use new nylocks everytime.

Thanks chaps

Yep all new nylocks fitted and tightened 'goodntite'

Hilariously and in true darwin award style nearly ran myself over removing the rear prop but that's another story!

Ta for the help
