Something from down under in New Zealand.
I had 2 seats and chubby box in my 1990 110 200Tdi Hardtop. Then we had a child so I took the chubby box out and put the middle seat back in the front, and all things were okay. Then we had another child..... No way was I selling my Defender. Brought in UK, been to Norway/Morocco/Spain/Ireland in it then shipped it back to NZ. So I had a beer and had a think. Sell the child, sell the Defender.??? No sale of the Defender...or the child. So some modifications had to be made, so I removed the side lockers I had made years ago, bought some new seats, some alu sheets, a lot of rivets, and got to work.

Looks very professional job , good solution to a fairly common problem.

PS hope you removed the stud and wingnut ? :p

haha. No not aircraft seats, just some asian bus seats with Kiwi modifications, and yes the bolt and wing nut removed. Had to find new home for my Hi-Lift cause those bolts held it against the 'wall'. Leg room forward is good, but eye height to my side windows bit bad. Then again I had to photograph new LR Defender (2012) for work and my seats were better...but I drive so dont care. my toy so never in the back...
