Browsing the web as you do, ive heard that discovery 1 swivel balls are 7 bolt fitment and defenders are 6 bolt.

So i checked my 1995 300tdi defender 90 to see how many bolts i had mounting the swivel ball to the axle. There are 7! Does this mean i have a discovery Axle?

Ive just ordered new radius arm bushes to fit next week. If it is a discovery axle, are they not going to fit?

6 bolts was early rrc,and you wont find many axles with them on ,300tdi disco and defender front axles are basically the same thing only brakes and the odd bracket vary

Sorry to hijack this thread but are disco 200tdi and 300tdi rear axles the same as i am looking to buy one for my 1988 90 2.5td ( 200tdi ) soon to convert to rear disc brakes but unsure which one i need

early 200 will have imperial caliper securing bolts and longer stub axles hubs etc

if disco rear axle replaces the std salisbury on a 110 load capability and prop length differ, salisbury diff nose is longer, rear spring plates are larger for 110
