Hi there, Greetings from Slovenia.
Just ended up with a tdi300 defender as a "project" prospector for renovation.
believe it or not , but I have 1000 Qs about how to get around such a project. I Find LR an amazing Auto full of mysteries , eg why are LR bolts extra long . To keep the seat-box bolted to the tub , I would use 15mm M6 , but LR uses 40mm!

Maybe the long screws are deliberate. Takes them longer to vibrate themselves free? Good to see another Defender on the site

about the long bolts .. how about just tightening them in the first place
