Hi there, I might be struggling with something quite simple here but apart from landrover dealers , Is there anywhere I can buy the new inner wings? It's the metal galvanised part I'm wanting.
It's to fit 200 tdi 90
Searched quite a bit on google and not managed to find any???
Thanks for reading

Aluminium inner wings Oldseadog???

Just how shot are yours TD5Tool? I took them off my 1990 90, welded them up a bit and got them redipped, I don't think you can get new inner metal wings anymore - I looked and looked. I would imagine it's cheaper to rebuild the old ones anyway.

Mine were a little like swiss cheese but soon fixed using some sheet metal. Most time consuming part was cleaning all the paint off them that had been put on at some point.

There not really bad yet ans a guess they would repair, I was really hoping you could buy them but its looking quite unlikely now.
Those in that picture look very nice indeed, did you have to remove all the old galvanise or something?
Looks like I may have to follow your route then, nothing wrong with the off side just the near side down by the bulkhead
Thanks for replies chaps

I removed all the paint, and ground off galv where I was going to do some welding. The old galv will come off in the acid bath and any remaining will melt in the bath and form part of the new coating.

I also extended mine down further at the back to reduce spray onto the bottom of the bulkhead.

I then etch primed the road side of my wings and painted them black. Will put some black stonechip on at some point too (a bit late now since they are now fitted but nevermind). The wings would have looked quite good in galv but I decided it all looked better all black.

Look on my post Defender Bodywork Rebuild. It documents it all including these wings.

They are still available new from Genuine Land Rover

AWJ710060 approx £125 + Vat

That is a TD5 RH version but is basically the same part as all the previous ones.
TDCi ones are now different

Also....

ASR2252 is available from Britpart @ less than £50 which is also a RH version

There are 47 versions listed on Microcat so may take some time to find what is available and which is the cheapest

I would simply get the original steel galvanised pair shotblasted and re galvanised. Will cost very little to do and last the pace...
