Theoretically you should have self levelling headlights to have HID lights fitted to avoid glare to oncoming vehicles and I think you also need headlight washer jets but don't quote me on the washer jet bit

You "should" have self leveling headlamps and washers, but this is what I'm trying. You will need new headlamps with a clear lens and the reflector that sets the beam pattern otherwise you will just have a blinding blob. These are like the lamps I'm using , unused from an old project
LAND ROVER DEFENDER 7" ANGEL EYE LED 'HALO' HEADLAMP LIGHT KIT - RHD LAMPS | eBay
I'm just waiting for a h4 dual beam HID kit to turn up and then i can see if it works

All I'll say is don't be one of those tossers who retrofit HIDs and proceed to blind everyone else on the road. No one likes those tossers.

Same here. If they're sitting behind me I tend to just stick on my rear work lamps. They get the hint pretty quickly

i have night hawk osrams on at minute but like you say (The__Wolf) they ate annouying the pr**ks who have them on a sh***y 1.2 corsa with a massive exhaust! and ill try the work lamp on the back trick though!

I've had to do it with people who are ignorant as #### and quite happily drive behind me with full beam on.

I dont think hid kits are waterproof either so they pop when wading, thats the reason i didnt become one of those blinding ****ers.. :)
