I have done a serch but couldn't find the answer

As above my heater was working fine then 1 day when I was driving along it stopped working then an hour later it started working fine for half an hour then stopped again and never worked since. Anyone any ideas??

First port of call is fuse, check and see if power is getting to the fan,if power is getting to the fan then it must be inside, remove and clean all terminals and earth points first and see where that gets you.
 
so its between fuse box and heater, get a meter and check, if you dont have one they are dirt cheap and handy adition to you tool kit.
 
Have you checked the fuse connections to make sure they're clean? My gauges and brake lights would occasionally go off and come back on again, just needed to give the fuse holder a clean and all was well

clean the sliding switch with cotton buds, mine did exactly this and since cleaning has been perfect.
 
i was getting same problems this week, fuse ok, fan blew with direct connection to battery, etc etc. Turned out the problem was the white/orange wire that leads from the fuse to the ignition switch relay connected to the back end of the ignition barrel. The white/orange wire had disconnected from the relay.
 
I had the same problem and had too strip the fan too peices and give it a thorough clean all over the motor and check the brushes weeny seized, anyway cleaned it all up, rebuilt it and works like new
 
Just having similar issues with my old ex MOD 90. Investigation with Multimeter / & fuse replacement amusingly sparked the blower into action when I put the voltmeter across the fan fuse. Dodgy wiring behind the fusebox to be sorted.. 3rd Fuse up from the bottom of the left hand column of fuses on the MOD layout.

Now to work out how to fix the intermittent dodgyness.

Still a lot easier than the dismantling of the blower assembly etc...
