Hi i have blown a fuse and now its got no power and wont start. i have the old house fuse type fuse box and put a fuse that was missing went to start her up and put no power wot so ever. is there anything i can do. i wrapped all the fuses in tin foil just to try but nothing.

Can i ask - does anything electrical work?
Or is everything dead?

Looking at my manual for 1986 diesel models the live from the battery goes straight to the starter motor and it supplies most things from there!
You could check and see if you are getting 12v at the starter motor - should be a heavy BROWN wire ;)

You still havent told us what the actual symptoms are e.g. is it turning over at all? Is it just clicking away when you try to start? Or do you get absolutely nothing.

Remember that in engines that old there is no electrickery to speak of as such (always a good thing in my opinion) so diagnosing the problem should be made a bit easier

Sorry its all sorted i never had any life init wot so ever no lights, radio, horn literaly anything. replaced all wires and replaced burnt wire and all is good.
