Got one on my 1995 110 project
it has twin tanks but sedimeter for the side tank is between front and rear wheel drivers side.
Believe if they fitted one to rear tank it is on the chassis behind rear n/s wheel according to page 90 of my Rave manual. tried to clip the pic but it wont have it

You can fit it anywhere in the fuel pipe between the tank and the fuel filter. Somewhere convenient for emptying it, and where it won't get covered in crud thrown up by the wheels is best.

Probably why the ones on Land Rovers hardly ever seem to get emptied, as well.

What about fittings tractor type filter with the glass/plastic inspection base.
The LR ones can leak from the plastic threaded butterfly if abused. Plus you can’t see the problem like water or dirt until you empty it.

I like the ones with the glass bowls too. And Wasp filters do a range of fuel filtration products which are probably better than what Land Rover fit.

I personally find the sedimenter a great way to stop crap getting as far as the main filter,
I check mine every six months, very simple to do and normally find stuff that would have gone on to

Extra filtration is needed especially if refilling from Jerry cans or the like, IMO

Or filling from any source other than a filling station and even some of them are not the best..
Don't even mention Farm tanks
