Hi

Brand new to this forum and bewildered by the amount of info but having searched cannot see any thread relating to seats ( which makes me think I am clearly not looking correctly, but have spent 20 mins now and cannot be bothered to look any more)

So my question is , I have just bought a defender 90 and the passenger seat base has a rip in it, Can I replace the cover or will I need to look for the whole base.

Sorry its not more of a gnarly 4 wheel type question but the Mrs is giving me grief that I have paid a load of cash for a motor and the seat is ripped !!!

Any advice greatly welcome

Customary to introduce yourself first :rolleyes:, but your here now, so :welcome2:, thick skin and a good sense of humour are DEFINITELY a must;);).
I suppose it depends how much you have spent and how bothered you are really:confused:, you can get re-trim kits Retrim Kits and Foams
but I'm not sure of price. Or you could just keep an eye out on flea-bay for a new seat base, you might get lucky and get it for not much brass:cool:.
Anyway if you have just bought a Fender where's the piccys, we all likes piccys on here :nopics::nopics::nopics:, and anyway if there are no piccys it never happened, thats the:rulez::rulez:;););)

Ripped seats!!!
I'd give it a polish and get rid QUICK!
That's one of the major thinks wrong with landys if you got one with even a small tear in the seat get rid of it before it gets worse.
Once yer landys seats are gone then the motors effectively scrap, probably the Achilles heel of the landrover. Sorry to break it to ya mate, but its a lemon:(

LOL tis true unfortunately.
Or you can buy some seat covers and hide it and think it never happened...

I will give you £3.56, half a jam sandwich and most of a wispa, can't say fairer than that, after all it's got a ripped seat ;);););)

put some range rover classic seats in the front like buster did.Give ya glutemus maximus a treat.Wifey will love ya for it.

Well what can I say,

It would appear I have been sold a pup

However, being from Yorkshire which means both stuborn and tight, I shall soldier on with it

Thanks for all the advice, clearly need to get some pics before my next post and will check out ebay

So you've bought a puppy as well as a Landy:eek::eek::cool::cool:, I likes puppys, if your from Yarkshire I take it that it'll be a Whippet to go with your flat cap etc etc etc, :p:p:p:p:p:p;);););););)

However, being from Yorkshire which means both stuborn and tight,

Yorkshire men...... they're like Jocks with all the generousity taken out of them :behindsofa:

swop her seat base for your drivers one put a rag over old base and pretend you got her a new one, you might get lucky.

The re trim kits are available here Def ReTrim Kits

52 quid a seat, 100 quid for 2 seats!? Mine are tired and could do with the replacement foam but just abit pricey for me!
