I’m still trying to sort out the niggly problems on my defender, I think I have sorted all the safety and mechanical problems now(after spending a shed load!)
The previous owner of the 90 had a new drivers door put on by an untrained monkey, that was blind, had one arm and is an alcoholic (well that is what it looks like)!
I have problems with the window flapping about which I can see how to sort I think. The door does shut but is a little proud, but will not lock from anywhere. I have just pulled the door card off and seen the outside lock barrel is not even connected, the internal lock button is jammed!
Does anybody have any pictures on them which shows how the rods are connected to which points!

Can you pull off the pass door card and see?

Yep, the rod on the door barrel is just dangling. The internal button lock’s rod is push hard against the internal door open handles rod.
If nobody has any pictures, I will have to take the passengers door card off but I don’t really want to as the window winder handle is a pain to get off.

Mines held on with a screw but I fitted mini metro ones. Are yours held on with a spring clip at the back?
I made a tool out of an old screwdriver to fish them out iirc.
