Hi can anyone tell me the effects of running without the AAP sensor connected? I ask because mine is disconnected and no plug to plug into the socket.

if its the same as a maf,which looks like it maybe then your ecu will default to pre programmed settings so might use more diesel plus if you have a tuning box fitted it wont be able to work properly

Looks like the plug is zip-tied to the wire under your MAF.

It will use a default value and will run. Maybe not the most optimal all the time.

Yes it is not the right plug though!

Does that connector "T" off the MAF loom? If so, it's the correct wire, but wrong plug. I believe you'd need something like this:

Econoseal 3-Way Female Connector | Automotive Connectors | Simtek (Uk) Ltd

The existing connector may be for a 4-wire AAP. How many wires go to it?

I bought a four pin sensor drilled a hole in air filter housing to fit it and put duck tape over the old hole! We'll see how it goes!
