Im rather impressed by my landy and myself.

My 90 is currently consistantly doing 26.5mpg based off an average taken over 4 tanks fills of the exact same volume. Mostly around town driving and off roading!

Considering LRs offical mpg is 23.3 combined for a standard 90 im happy.

Running with
Cooper Discoverer STTs
EGR Blank
DeCat & Straight Thru

Half Cage
Winch Bumper
Steering Guard
Rock Sliders
Snorkel

All pretty heavy items to add on!

It does show all those little mods do improve MPG quite considerably, I expect without all the heavy off road mods it would push 30 - 32 mpg easy.

Whats everyon elese getting?

Josh.

I was to start with. My calculations where all over the place! Got 16, 37, 20 then i realised im an idiot and used an app lol

I'm making up for my landy by having a new Golf.... On a trip from Lancashire to Devon I managed to average 81.7mpg over 600 miles (2013 latest generation 1600 blue motion diesel) !!

thats very good.

Over 2 tanks?

Josh I remember your 90 from when I picked up your old steering wheel and it is carrying a few high taste extras and I know you like to rev it so the mechanicals must be in good health.
Currently getting 31 mpg according to Fuelly.com on my 300 TDI 110 CSW so well pleased too.

wow, I'm impressed.

Me and the wife are looking at a golf GTD. If the can provide similar fuelling i may be convinced.

The GTD will be the 2.0L engine. It'll be good for 70mpg if you are very economical, select ECO mode, use the cruise control and stick to 60mph! Sounds silly but on a long run with the stereo going and on cruise control it makes a big difference. If you are buying new the blue motion is now included. I absolutely hate the electronic hand brake and the STUPID radar which is like a psychotic driving instructor in the passenger seat. I use the defender all the time unless I am on a long journey!

I'm getting around the 30-33 mark in mine or anything between 20-27 when driving it harder or when towing.

110dcpu. winch, roof-rack, xmoor hood, snorkel, full set of guards underneath. Weighs a little over 2.3tonne
All the EGR, de-cat, centerbox stuff with VNT, intercooler and re-map. 175K on the clock
Have 33x12.5 muds too but the Disco box is the main reason for being so good I think as it's raising the gearing by about 15% and I do a fair bit of motorway and A-road driving around 50-70mph

Somewhere between 27 - 30 mpg I think. Any big heavy mods?
