Local Indy has a TD5 90 for sale, which they say has a "rare factory-fitted auto box".
Did LR really make such a beast, or is this likely to be a conversion using Disco 2 bits?
I'm sort of tempted - I like autos.

true, but that's not the reason.
auto's are better off road imho.

No they have not made a td5

they have made over time auto 300 tdi's And 4.0 v8. 's for Us and a auto hard top 90 4.0 v8 for the 50th special for the Uk

I think they did, I read it in a LR magazine, I will probably have it somewhere in the column of LRO magazines I have here. Do you have a reg plate no? and I will check the build spec for you.
