Sorry to drag this out. Gone off grey tbh, just noticed everything is grey. Red is nice but must be the right shade. Starting to consider green…. Booked the body work guy today. Getting resprayed in 3 weeks .

Starting to consider green

your not painting it grey because everything is grey and instead are considering painting it the colour that every land rover since the dawn of land rover has been painted?

Red is nice but must be the right shade.

The right shade is Masai red, end of discussion. Every other shade land rover every used was a poor imitation of the original!

I will also this opportunity to say that I did not choose masai red as a colour, both my vehicles happened to be that colour originally, were bought because they were the right price at the right time, an when rebuilding I just repainted them in the correct original colour. However that does not stop it being the correct shade of red for a land rover, mainly because it is the shade of red mine are, and mine are the best land rovers out there because they are mine!

I think the Series One behind the Red Series 3 in the second pic is better than yours.

And it is painted Bronze Green, the best colour for Land Rovers! ;):D

Only because it is a series 1. It is a 1957 86" and belongs to a friend, if I could afford one I would have one as well!

Is this the right green?? Can’t go metallic I am told by bodywork guy. Only 2 pack

Do it properly and ignore all the fancy colours trying to make them into school run SUV's. Choose a colour from one of the original options below and claim it is heritage. I don't have the original 90/110 options to hand or I would post that as well as an allowable colour choice.

Series 2

Series 3

I like Series Ones, but they are overpriced now.
For actual driving, I prefer Series 2a, the 2286cc petrol engine has reasonable performance.
I still think the Bronze Green, top left in the Series 2 colour chart, is the best colour, though.

Can I have you guys opinions on phoenix orange? My guy coming to collect my 90 next week and have had too much time to mull over the options. Just to refresh, got a black roof, black puma bonnet and arches all finished in raptor bed liner. Got the county windows tinted. Just want a decent colour to contrast with the black, don’t want to go too dark either . Opinions appreciated please…. Thanks

Yeah agree. I don’t want metallic. Just asked to see if the phoenix orange was metallic. The pic above appears to be an adventure model that comes in this colour. Looks good with black I thought tbh. I am still undecided…

Still sitting in my shed unfortunately. Guy that is painting only works at it part time and has spent a lot of time out of the country as he shoots clay pigeon for NI

hopefully being done soon. Opinions please, I have a really good set of series doors with slide windows and a fiibre glass puma bonnet. Bonnet is raptored black and doors will be painted with rest. Should I keep the series doors, tbh I like the push button type and also I wouldn’t mind swapping the bonnet for a standard….

Series doors are in demand especially by the offroad/competion boys and your righjt a bumpy-bonnet looks totaly out of place on an older car.
