Hello,
I have purchased 4 inward facing rear seats for my 1984 land rover 90.
They are genuine Land Rover parts (2nd hand).
Is there information anywhere on the forum or internet on where to drill the holes to mount the seat base, seat back and seat belt rail?.
Any help much appreciated.
Regards
Chris

Do you have the seat belt mounting tubes? Also, the rear cross member to seat belt tube connecting brackets (tubular about 15" long) go under rear wheel arch.

Hello. I have the seat belt mounting tubes which go inside the back. However seats were not supplied with tubes for under wheel arch so thanks for pointing that out. Images on internet are not clear. Is it just 1 bar per side under the wheel arch or is it an assembly?.

Bar sits on each wheel arch. It is connected to the chassis at the rear though a support bracket. Should also be bolt through the tub in the center and fixed with a large spreader plate, should also use a spreader plate on the bulkhead side and bolt into the bulk head. Here is what you need -

Seats just offer them up and find a place where they fit nicely. On CSW's the interior trim has holes pre-done where the seat backs should bolt in, if you don't just offer up. I would start with the seat backs then fit the lowers.

They're the ones. They look like the newer type. The only difference being the configuration of the holes in the top. My holes in my replacements didn't line up with the holes in plates of the seat belt tubes. I've found some pictures of mine.

The seat belt tube has to be bolted via steel to the main chassis and not just through the aluminium wheel arch. Hence the spreader plate bankz5152 mentioned.
Here is a picture of the full tube.

In the next picture you can see the rectangular spreader plate that matches the centre fixing and the smaller wedge shaped spreader that matches the bottom of the far right fixing.

In the picture below you can see the slots that the seat backs bolt in to.
