I have a 1987 defender which originally had a petrol engine. before I bought it someone fitted a 200 TDI engine from a Disco. I need to replace most of the exhaust and am not sure which sections I should be buying. can anybody suggest a way of identifying. (most of the old exhaust has gone away)

I think an exhaust from a 2.5t (19j) will fit though your brackets might not be standard anyway but its not difficult to shift them about anyway.
You'll need to get a down pipe made up.
