hey all i could do with some help and take abit of your knowlege, im on the end of my rebuild and im tackling the electrics. So my light are working except all n/s/r and had no power there at all and as faras im aware all plugs are wired correctly any ideas?
Also i have no brake lights, i have checked the switch and its all okay, any ideas been staring atthe wiring diagram for hours and still not getting any further any help is appreciated. I will keep all updated and i have seen many people have problems like this

check earths and trace wiring physically - it might have been damaged where it runs along chassis etc.

Only way to check earths is to remove them and clean and refit, some times extra earths can fix things.
Powerprobe is an excellent tool for this sort of work, cheap copies on ebay all work the same.

Checked all earths and they are fine, i think i have figured it out but not tested it yet. But here is my theory.
Iv fitted new chassis loom as mine was in a terrible state so fitted the loom wired the o/s up and then wired the n/s and found there was more bullet connectors on the o/s with same colours as n/s/r i thought these where for trailer connection. but im getting no live feed at all to the n/s/r so tomorrow im going to bridge then and see if i get voltage to the n/s/r

I used triple & double connectors to wire towbar electrics , worked a treat and much better than the dreaded blue connectors.

Got light now mate

Got a new problem now just went to turn the vehicle around and the brakes where spongy but after few pumps they went hard then back spongy again i thought i had a problem air a air lock so i rebleed it and still the same but cant determine wether its the servo side or the master cylinder any ideas?

Master cylinder is more likely to cause sponginess than servo.

Test the servo, pump pedal three or four times. Then start engine with foot on pedal. If the servo is working, you will feel the pedal go down.

Could well just be air in the system, they are often tricky to bleed

Ill give this a try in the morning i dont think there is air in the system as i pressure bleed it had got alot of air out, the brakes go solid after a few pumps but travel all the way to the floor i think the problem lies within the servo or cylinder or both haha , il do your test in the morning and hopefully determine the fault

I couldn't get a good pedal doing it the old fashioned way with someone pumping the pedal whilst I opened the bleed nipples, a mate lent me his pressure pot and ten mins later the pedal was solid. From memory the passenger ns was the one that most air was trapped.

Discs or drums on the rear?

Yeah i pressure bleed mine mate i dont think its a air fault going to do a test in the morning, but me money is on the slave cylinder

Its leaking past the master cylinder so will get a kit ordered and overall it.
Having problems with lights again now just indicators, when i signal left all left side come on and so do the right. Iv check all wires i have none crossed and all earths are fine could anyone shine some light?

Go for a new quality one TRW etc

Ill need a different servo then to match it wouldnt i?

I didnt realise there was a difference?
On my 93 it was the std fit all master cylinder from Island 4x4 I think.

Edit now you mention it my mate had an early 90 E reg I think and that had an odd servo but I dont remember any issues with the master cylinder.
