hi all i also have a 60 plate defender double cab just bought a few months ago damaged repaired now
but noticed it has black smoke come out exhaust say in 4 th gear when just before time to change gear then change up/ ok until ready to change again
is this a common issue that can be fixed by changing something ???

Check the MAF sensor is working, clean the MAP sensor carefully with some brake cleaner and check for boost leaks
