I know what you mean, it can get a bit depressing as the more you look the more you find, that’s why I did it in bite size bits and had every other day off. Glad you got your appetite back mate. I will say then you get it back on the road it is a great feeling knowing that you have done all the work yourself. If I had a garage do it I worked out it would have cost about £1200, doing myself it cost me the total of £200 and my time.they’re the non enjoyable jobs. I like sticking in fresh parts and upgrades and stuff but I’ve spent two years just chopping and welding my d1. My hunger had come back for it though
Yes that’s the plan, will go for a galv chassis as my view is it future proofs it. Plus I will never sell her. The trucks totally standard really so worth I think a complete rebuild when I do the chassis.You reckon you’ll go galv chassis in future then? It bulkhead quite tidy? Truck like this is a typical one that’s worth looking after!
