Was a cat ever fitted by Land Rover on a 300tdi Defender?

Yes. But only on certain models.

DOC diesel ocidation cat in downpipe, as per above,
This is not a DPF like newer motors.

For some reason I have a memory about different specs having a cat. Eg a hard top didn’t. I had an L reg hard top without. But I have a feeling a CSW might have. Not sure if related to how they were registered too.

On a similar thought train. Could a Disco 300 be had without a cat?

Not sure on Defender but Iirc first year of 300disco had no doc cat, then M reg onwards did.

Thanks, the vehicle is an unknown year but had a cat, one of them original underbody plastic protection things, and maybe csw. I presume itl was a 300tdi because of the cat. Couldn't see the actual engine.
