Hello, i have a Defender 200tdi with a few power upgrades.
Larger intercooler
Injector pump tweaked
Timing and turbo tweaked.
Great torque improvement pulls well in 4th and holds hills in 5th on the motorway.
Unfortunately the Borg & Beck clutch i fitted several thousand miles ago is suddenly slipping.
any advice on which type of clutch kit to replace it with?
Thanks.

LOF all day long, nothing compares
I fitted a powerspec with a SM Flywheel, all good. ( get the pwoer spring as well makes a huge difference)

If the clutch has only done a few thou, I would be checking why it is slipping first, master push rod free play, oil leak downstairs etc.

i fitted lof supplied with thrust bearing and crank seal no bother since i had main shaft rattle on tick over for a thousand miles but gone now i often tow the extreme weights too del haylegde

Another vote for LOF stuff here. Seems nicely made. Even the little touches like the clips to hold the thrust bearing onto the fork, and the pushrod in place seem better thought out and more robust than what Land Rover themselves give you.

I run OEM valeo 130 spec clutches in my 200tdi and have done for every time I have swapped it and have no problems with. It is cheaper than lof and is what is fitted and the heavy duty factory fit. But I would second if it is a recent fitment to find out why it is slipping rather than assume it is because of too much power form a 200tdi.

Thanks for the advice. I did suspect the rear crank oil seal may have played a part. Gone with L.o.f.
