Hi guys!!I'm new here...
My question is.... Defender 2.5TD....know somebody the revers lamp wire on the backside of the car(right side interior)what color is?

Other question: Diff lock switch .... i don't find the wires witch fit on the switch....where can i find them?

Regards
Tibi

From memory the reverse light is green with a brown trace but i will have to check to be completely sure

Diff lock witring comes down the chassis leg from the engine bay along with the revers switch wiring. Trace it back and see if it disconnected and hanging free along the route somewhere?

thanks much!
First time i have to find the diff lock switch, i know its location but its a lot of mud on the transfer box...then i check the wire now that you told me that its come with the revers wire

These 2 wires are both for the reverse switch?

That's the reverse connections. Plain green is ignition-switched power from the fuse, green/brown goes to the reverse light. At the back, you should have green/brown connections on both sides- all the connections come through on the right and the relevant connections spur off to the left.
Diff lock light is switched ground- should be a blue/black wire (to the light) and a black wire to (ground).

Understand!!!where is the fuse??inside the car i didn’t find reverse fuse....the difflock switch,i have the black wire wich is the gound but nothing else....where can it be?

Usually all these connections are made by the multi-way plugs in the engine bay. On my UK model they were on the bulkhead by the brake/clutch master cylinders. No idea whether they move position on a left-hand drive model. Look for a blue/black wire that's not connected to anything?

Diff lock is ok!i found the blue-black wire, thank u much!!

Reverse is not ok...wires are ok,switch is new, have no idea

First test is to disconnect the wires from the switch and bridge them together. If the reverse light comes on all is good with the circuit. If not, investigate for blown fuses/damaged wiring. Use a multimeter to check there is 12v at the green wire with the ignition on.

Assuming all's good with the wiring, try removing the reverse switch from the gearbox, reconnect the wiring and see if the light comes on if you poke it manually. If so, it comes down to the mechanical position of the switch- there may be some adjustment you can make to its position.

Problem solved....it was the fuse!!
Thank you much
