Hi all I'm new to the forum. My TD5 won't start after replacing the offside brake pipe. I disconnected the electric cable/s (wiring loom) from their connectors (directly under the radiator filler tank) under the bonnet ..feeding back the cable/wiring loom to free up the new pipe which was tangled along the way also undid a 10 mil bolt. All reconnected now but the vehicle won't start. Explanations welcome. Many thanks.
 
Thank you Stuart, yes on yellow '20' fuse was busted & I have a small amount of old dripping onto the red connector under the seat etc. Can't understand what I've done wrong. Won't start. All I did was unplug the front connectors of the wiring loom :(

I suppose the question is after reconnecting the connectors of the wiring loom (Engine end) under the radiator plastic filler tank is the vehicle supposed to start? or am I missing 'first' doing something?
 
Today was supposed to be a simple job...replace the offside brake pipe (long) but the wiring loom/cable was in the way so I disconnected from under the bonnet & fed it back the other way toward the Diff which gave me some space to work the new pipe into place. The bald patch on top of my head is getting larger lol

Where this red connector is and oil leak please

does the engine turn over

U haven’t got an inertia button on the engine bay bulkhead have u

Did u disconnect the wires with the battery still connected
 
Hello again Mr Stuart (sorry didn't realise i was addressing you by your surname earlier - my sincere apologies)
Red connector near the fuses.
No inertia button by the dash (at least that I can see)
..and yes I did disconnect the wires while the battery was connected - that appears to be the prob.

No worries, it’s gary , lol

Ur be better off to wait until someone comes here who knows about TD5s

But at least double check everything is plugged back in again

All ur fuses are sound and go through them with a multimeter
 
I’d suggest connecting said wires back together, I can’t remember any loom near brake pipes other than abs, and that wouldn’t stop it starting
