Hi All
I am looking to upgrade the seats in my 110 station waggon. Looking at the rear seats in a freelander they look like they would fit quite easily however the front seats would need cutting and welding. has any one done this or tried and failed as I do not want to buy a set and not be able to use them. Any advise or alternative suggestions welcome.

Cheers guys

If you have the skill to weld and fabricate rails etc then do it. But, and this is the problem i have after i fitted buckets. You cant get to the boxes under the front seats for access to the battery etc. Not a problem every day but it will seriously get on your t^ts when you need to jump someone.

My advice(after getting it wrong) would be to go for some exmoor trim after market seats as the seat bases still come off to give you access.

good luck

thats easy to resolve..i put anderson connector on front of seat box connected to battery and then made up a set of jump leads job done

my front seats i also fitted on bolts that were easily accessable only took 2 mins to remove seats

i got Bmw seats with hinges welded to back of seat rails and pins with R clips though at the front, so pull the pins and seat folds back. also have anderson plug on front bumper for easy jumping. ive got a double cab, you couldnt do this in a 90

Jesus WLM are you a short arse? those seats look really close to the wheel? :D

My seats are proper full on buckets so there is no chance of me hinging them or owt like that. Ive decided they need to go. When driving to wales to go laning there starting to be painful!:(

I've been lusting after some Sams Trim Canvas front seats for mine- think they look the business! another alternative Denis, would be the front seats from a Citroen BX, if you can find any- the bottom section comes away from the back so you can still access the cubby's under the seats.
